WTA Finalists

What a wonderful final between the new world no. 1 (Sabalenka) and no. 3 (Gauff) in the world. Amazing defense by Coco forcing Aryna to be perfect in her shot-making was thrilling. It is an exciting time for Women's tennis as we have a list of grand slam champions all at the top of the rankings. Let's check out the WTA's US Open Finalist Gear of 2023.

Runner Up

Aryna Sabalenka may have not taken home the US Open title but she walks away with a great slam season by reaching the Semi-Finals in all the slams including a maiden slam title in Australia. Aryna has captured the hearts of many with her charming persona and big hitting on court. Sabalenka uses one of the most popular racquets on the market but her shoes will surprise people! Aryna has long been sponsored by Nike and Wilson, this is the first time that she has had gear specifically for her.

Champion

Coco Gauff arguably had the tougher draw of the two finalists, having beat two major champions in Caroline Wozniacki and Jelena Ostapenko, as well as tough opponents like Elise Mertens, Karolina Muchova and Mirra Andreeva. Coco is not just an Icon in America but across the world. She has her own signature shoes with New Balance while also being the face of a racquet for Head.

ATP Finalists

In some people's eyes this was not the final we wanted as the matchup expected was Carlos Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic. Well, Daniil Medvedev had something to say about it and we ended up with probably the two most villainized players on the men's tour. In a battle between the Lacoste ambassadors, Daniil tried to push Novak to his physical limits, of course, Novak prevailed and is now crowned a US Open Champion for the 4th time and 24th grand slam overall. Let's check out the ATP's US Open Finalist Gear of 2023.

Runner Up

Daniil Medvedev really burst onto my radar in 2019 when he won his first Masters 1000 in Cincinnati. At that time most of the Lacoste sponsored athletes were wearing shoes of a different brand, that is up until 2021 with Daniil's success they re-entered the shoe market developing the Lacoste AG-LT line. Two years later the Lacoste AG-LT23 Ultra is a top-tier shoe that is sported by Daniil on the biggest stage. Along with his shoes, he has his own apparel line with Lacoste. Outside of his apparel Daniil has his own racquet with Tecnifibre, the Tfight ISO 305, my favorite racquet with a unique 18x19 string pattern.

Champion

Novak Djokovic has been a Lacoste Croc since 2017, winning 12 slams since changing from Uniqlo a Japanese-based clothing line. When you are the best player of all time you end up with all your own lines of gear, Lacoste has some of the best polos on the market and the Novak Djokovic Seamless Polo is no different. Asics has been producing Novak's shoes since he won his 12th grand slam back in 2016. The most recent shoe he is wearing is the Asics Court FF 3 Novak. Along with the apparel Head has sponsored Novak for some time, in fact, the longest relationship out of the three, dating back to 2009. The Head Speed is a fantastic control racquet that is now available in a sleek all-black look.

Closing Thoughts

Keep your eyes out for more gear in the future as the 2023 tennis season comes to an end! Lucky for us Tennis-Point carries all the gear the top players in the world dominate the highest level with. Congrats Coco Gauff on her maiden slam and congrats Novak Djokovic on slam number 24!
